The Card Less Traveled… ANNOUNCEMENT!

My daughter-in-law just asked for some help for her grandfather. He’s finally making the major move from the single-family home he’s lived in for years to the condo he has recently purchased and he wants to update people about his new address. No problem… I have the perfect system to handle this job. And I got to thinking about the many other occasions when people typically send announcement cards. You know,

  • Save the Date
  • Birth Announcements
  • Retirements
  • Graduation

Naturally, I think there are many life transitions and celebrations that are just begging to be announced to the world. It even occurs to me that the element of surprise your recipient might feel about receiving a totally unexpected Announcement Card would make it even more fun and memorable. So in that spirit… here are some suggestions for announcement cards that might be a bit outside of the box… and fun none the less:

New Pet Announcements
Getting a new puppy or kitten is truly a dynamic change for a family and certainly worthy of an announcement card. Pets bring us lots of joy (along with unexpected frustration :) ) so it only makes sense to share the joy with family and friends. And don’t just limit this to dogs and cats, heck… tell the world about your new fish, hamster, iguana or hermit crab… there’s really no limit!

Business Milestones
If you’re not willing to ‘crow’ a bit… why should anyone else? If that’s too much, consider elevating your brand, increasing credibility and building customer relationships and loyalty by informing people about major milestones and changes that your business has accomplished. These could be anything from announcing new promotions, sharing number of customers served, new or extended services being offer to just about anything else that positions you (and your partners and customers) as the best of the best in the industry.

Weight Loss
Obesity has become an huge issue, at least here in the United States. Making the decision to take off some weight and then sticking to the program and actually succeeding, absolutely deserves an announcement card! And if you’ve taken off a significant amount of weight, or dropped in clothing size, it’s a BIG DEAL. There’s nothing wrong with sharing your joy — not to mention the inspiration you may be providing for one or more of your recipients. Best of all would be receiving inquiries about how you did it so you can share your secret and help others lose weight too!

Oh… I have a few more ideas, like sending out Mortgage Payoff Announcement Cards and even Divorce Announcement Cards, either of which could be in bad taste… or great taste, depending on individual circumstances. The point is, you can get incredibly creative with announcement cards and have lots of fun with it too!

I’d love to hear any of your ideas. And if you’ve ever received an unusual announcement card please tell us about it here!

If you have something you’d like to announce right now you can create some beautiful ones TODAY using the SEND OUT CARDS system right from you computer. And please… let me know what you’re announcing!

How to Market with Calendars

A great way to combine lead-gathering with brand recognition might surprise you… Calendars!

Offering free calendars to your target market not only speaks of your generosity, it puts you and your company front and center every day of the year.

Since your prospects don’t have to do anything to receive a calendar from you, on the surface it’s a totally altruistic move, yet with a bit more sensitivity, they can be a highly cost-efficient way to market your business and generate increased positive responses.

Okay… so what do I mean about being ‘a bit more sensitive’? Well, you’re sensitive enough to know that people like ‘free’ things and that a calendar is a universally useful tool. But lets consider a few additional factors:

Speak to you audience
As with any kind of marketing, it’s important to be clear about who you’re speaking to and what message you’re sending. So you want to put your calendar in front of a very well-defined and highly targeted audience in a very personal way. (Think sub-niches here).

For instance, if you’re an insurance company, you probably offer insurance for a wide variety of things: business, house, boat, car, etc. While you might decide to print up a 12 month calendar focusing on each of twelve such areas… think how much more personally you will touch your client/prospect if, for instance, that person who buys motorcycle insurance received a calendar filled with classic motorcycles. Or the business owner received a functional business marketing calendar.

Of course, if you’re looking to reach a broader group of people you could also consider a calendar created from a common theme such as a local sports team or local landmarks or something along those lines. Just remember your goal is to engage your audience with your calendar. Let it inform, involve or inspire people!

Promote yourself
You’ve probably received a free calendar or two in your life. No doubt it featured some company logo… yet I’ll bet it was little more than that logo along with the same old rows of dated squares. But what if you give away a calendar filled with icons and images to highlight special sales, products, discounts and/or events throughout the entire year? Offer a ‘Product of The Month Club’ and highlight each month’s product.

If you sell any seasonal items you could provide a related list for each applicable season. For example, if you sell cleaning supplies include a spring cleaning list in April and winter preparation checklist in October.

Give a steady Call to Action. The idea is to encourage your customers to think about what they need and tell them you can provide it.

Make it measurable
Here’s another option to consider when using calendars as a marketing tool. Most businesses fail to see beyond the simple logo branding on a calendar yet why not harness the power of a daily message and use your calendar as a direct-marketing piece. Doing something like including cut-out coupons each week or month is a win for the customer and a win for you while allowing you to track your returns on investment.

In fact, with such a high value you could easily offer the coupon-filled calendar itself as a lead-generating piece by offering it through a website to people for the mere cost of shipping and handling. That way, you’ve covered the mailing cost while at the same time gathered names and addresses of people who see the value of your products.

The idea here is to think outside the boxes… and provide your customers with beautiful and useful calendars… giving them value and something to talk about is bound to keep you top of mind and lead to a significant return on your investment.

Happy connecting!

A Business Opportunity

Welcome to a world of people building a Successful Online Card and Gift Program!

If you’re in alignment with that AND you are looking for an Online Business AND you want to be successful while having fun then we have things to talk about.

I am looking for partners that are serious and committed. Does that describe you? If so then I’m going to suggest that you take some time and evaluate my Network Marketing company and business system.

Please know that I am currently accepting 4 partners monthly into my Internet Based Network Marketing Training. This training and partnership does mean you would be joining my team. I limit myself to 4 new partners monthly so that I can give you the time and attention to launch your business successfully.

This system combines many years experience in both Network Marketing and Internet Marketing. Should you decide to partner with me, you are going to receive a system of training and marketing that will teach you how to use the Internet to build your Network Marketing business. Is this what you are looking for?

This is very different from the old paradigm of MLM where you chase down everyone you know, bugging them and begging them to join your business. I am a proponent of attraction marketing, a “hot market” where people come to me looking for an online business that will allow them to change their lives.

I promise you a value-intense program.

Many people love the concept of Network Marketing and the pay structure but they don’t like signing up and then getting no support or training; no business system other than the classic “make a list of everyone you know” and the idea of asking them all to attend a meeting or get involved. Do you feel this way? I certainly did!

If you want a successful business you need a program that is affordable for most, with a product that appeals to over 80% of the population and a system for prospecting, recruiting and training for duplication.

There are 4 principles of business you MUST have.
I researched the trends, found the 4 key principles that are essential for any successful business venture and here is what I learned:

  • Huge expanding market
  • Unique, consumable product at a great price point
  • Timing – trends in timing
  • Employ others so you get more done

Here are some things people are tired of in both MLM, Network Marketing and Internet Marketing –

  • Juice and Vitamin Programs – they are everywhere and way too many “me, too” products out there
  • $150-250 monthly auto-ship for products to be qualified for pay
  • Way too much inventory coming in with no ability to retail it
  • “Downline Builder Systems” promising the moon and delivering nothing.
  • Too much hype created by fear of loss

I also know, after more than a decade in the business, that to really be successful in business you must have a business where ~~

  • People are having FUN and MAKING MONEY
  • People can earn money quickly by getting started and taking action
  • An affordable monthly Auto-Ship
  • The product is one that can be sold for a fair market price and one that people actually want and enjoy using
  • A business success model already in place
  • In other words, not a “wholesale buying club” where the only people buying and using the products are distributors who must do so to earn a paycheck.

So, if you’re looking for something fresh, new and successful, I encourage you to open your mind to the possibilities and let me introduce my business opportunity by having you experience the product.

Not quite decided? Ask yourself these questions –

Do I want to take control of my time and my finances and create more of what I really want out of life?
Do I know a few people who want more out of their own lives? Some people who want their own business and a better lifestyle?
Am I ready to act on the knowledge that has been presented to me?
Would I enjoy getting to know people online using a variety of social media platforms?
Do I want to be part of and understand the growing Network Marketing Industry?

I want you to know one other thing right up front… it is NOT my goal to convince you or talk you into anything. This system works and I’m willing to teach you. But it’s definitely not my style to twist arms.

I am looking for business partners that understand the trends that are taking place and want to be a part of history.

I also want you to know that if you do decide that this is for you and you want to join our team, I will be right there beside you to the degree YOU desire, coaching, training and accelerating your way to success!

I employ some of the best strategies available to build a successful Network Marketing business learned from some of the best minds and successes in the industry, and I will teach you each of these.

If you feel you’re ready to join you can simply fill out the form below.

Culture and Identity

Below I share a note I posted over at Facebook a couple of years ago. I’d love to hear your thoughts about the culture you’ve created in your business and/or your life – and what you find valuable about it for you.

**********************************

Today I’m celebrating my grandson’s bravery in climbing a tree for the first time.

I also want to encourage you to celebrate, out loud, the people in your sphere who best express the values you most admire. Post it on their wall, send them a card… whatever. Just take action TODAY to to tell someone specifically what you’re appreciating about them right now!

CULTURE. It has a variety of meanings. I find that fact alone quite interesting, yet for this note let’s focus on the following meaning:

the set of shared attitudes, values, goals and practices that characterizes an institution or organization.

I was recently encouraging a friend to join Facebook to make staying connected with her friends and family easier. She balks at the idea. From what I can understand, the very idea of putting up a profile online makes her feel unsafe in some way. As I’ve pondered the conversation we had I realize that though this is a very dear and long-time friend of mine, in many ways we come from and currently live in different cultures. (And frankly, I rejoice in the realization that this doesn’t mean we can’t be friends ;-) )

You see… culture is not only the larger environment that we happened to be born to… like the Country, Race, or Religion we were surrounded by at our moment of birth… and it’s not static. It’s the environment we live in right now. It’s the environment we play in, the environment we work in and it’s an environment shaped by our state of mind. Yet if we’re not mindful… we may let our state of mind be shaped by our environment. So why not seek out (or decide to create) the environment that best supports the state of mind we choose?

It’s a bit like the difference between experiencing ‘life happening to us’ and taking responsibility for being at cause for the life we’re experiencing. It’s an identity.

For instance, I have an amazing group of ‘friends’ at Facebook… sharing resources, asking questions, inspiring me with videos and willingly sharing authentic moments of their lives. The energy is high, the generosity amazing, the authenticity rings loudly and the predominant experience for me is love… growth… expansion. That’s all simply part of the culture I experience in my little neighborhood at FB… and I realize it’s not necessarily the culture in other ‘neighborhoods’ in the larger community.

It’s the same at our workplaces. What is the culture where you work? Who is setting the tone? Is it an environment you look forward to being in frequently? Did you take the time to get a feel for the culture before you decided to participate there?

I think those are valuable questions. And there are variations on those questions for those of us who have our own business. Regardless of what our specific business provides… we all need other people in order to be successful. The culture we develop can and will determine how fast our business grows and how well we hold that growth steady.

We thrive and feel alive in a culture that is a ‘best fit’ for us. In the years I owned and operated a Child Care home, I provided a STRONG well-defined culture of child-driven curiosity that encouraged having fun, experimenting, being listened to, getting messy, natural consequences… that was certainly NOT a fit for all. And yet the families that found it a fit stayed with me a long time and I would certainly like to think it was a win-win. ;-)

Today I partner with a company that also has a strong, well-defined culture that ideally is infused into my team and we are all part of an industry that I was initially attracted to because of it’s culture which is based on simplicity, growth and win-win. It took me awhile to really understand the value of a strong and clearly defined culture and how it impacts the health of my business. I’m thrilled I now realize that by letting people know what we value and what makes it valuable, those who don’t share enough of those values to the same degree will see the contrast right away and move on to something that floats their cork. And isn’t that perfect??!? Yes!

So my question is… What kind of environment are you promoting? Life duplicates for us whatever thrives in the environment we provide. So whether it’s the group of friends you’ve gathered at Facebook (or any community) or the clients/customers you serve, or the team you’re building in business… are you clear about the culture YOU find most conducive to healthy growth? When you’ve clearly defined it you don’t have to worry so much about your ‘safety’ like my friend mentioned above… because you’ll know that those who ‘don’t fit’ simply won’t survive (or even find you) and the ‘wrong’ people weed themselves out.

with love and laughter,
–Mary K

EXPECT MIRACLES!

p.s. Curious about some of the characteristics of our culture that makes my company, Send Out Cards, thrive? Here’s a sample:

1. We are generous
2. We focus on giving to give vs. giving to get
3. We send cards daily to celebrate individuals in our lives
4. We have fun
5. We operate out of integrity. (We do what we say and say what we can do)
6. “The Crusade is bigger than the deal”
7. It’s not just about the money – we are changing lives one card at a time
8. We do the right thing
9. Send Out To Give!
10. We always strive for a win-win

Remember – Cards Touch, especially when people can touch them!
